(aka Frequently Asked Questions aka Questions that aren't necessarily asked frequently, but we thought would be helpful to answer anyway.)
How can I see Team J films?
Keep watching the skies! And by 'skies,' we mean the various local film listservs and screening venues about town. Naturally, we will always post the latest news on this site as well. We aim to shamelessly self-promote.
Will Team J films appear in festivals?
That is the goal. There are many splendid festivals in our area as well as all over the world. Look for updates in our news section. Team J may be showing up in your neck of the Tulgey Wood!
Can I buy Team J films?
Not yet. We plan to release a short film compilation in due course.
Do you use union actors?
Yes. Team J uses both SAG (union) and non-union actors in its works. Our current business model is focused on producing shorts for the festival circuit, therefore when we use union actors, it will be under SAG's short film agreement.
How can I join Team J?
We don't have a full-time roster. Every project calls for a different set of players, so we assemble the full team for each project when we're ready to move into production. You are always welcome to support Team J with some fine gear sporting our logo (available now from our store).
Who's in charge of Team J ?
That would be Bjorn Munson, the founder and Chief Raconteur of Team J. He works with the writers, producers, and directors or Team J films and often wears some of those hats himself. He's often known as "the Stonehenge guy."
Can I send you my script/resume/portfolio/small scale model of a Jabberwock carved out of obsidian?
No, thank you. Please do not send scripts, resumes, or portfolios. We currently have over a dozen projects under consideration and in development. When we reach the right stage of pre-production, we assemble the rest of the team.
Now, as to that small scale model of a Jabberwock in obsidian, that sounds really cool. We recommend you hold onto it, but feel free to send us pictures of the little blighter.
Who designed the Team J logo?
Roy Quini: international man of mystery and graphic designer (possibly more the latter than the former, but we can't say for sure).
Who designed the Team J web site?
The incomperable Kakupacal--much like the incomperable Giacomo, but much different and not at all resembling Danny Kaye.
Do you ever run out of esoteric film references?
No!
