What is Stonehenge? Stonehenge is a one-day casting event held several times throughout the year in various cities. Instead of speed-dating, this is "speed-casting." Actors will perform a monologue in front of 20 or more production companies looking to produce films in the near future. Filmmakers will see over 100 actors they may call back to read for a specific part.

Over the past few years, both aspiring and commerical filmmakers have used Stonehenge to cast over 500 roles in over 100 projects. These projects include training films, commercials, web series, student films, indie features, and dozens of entries in the 48 Hour Film Project and National Film Challenge.

The goal of Stonehenge is to be simple, effective, and inexpensive (free for actors, a small fee for companies). Past Stonehenge information may be found in our archives.

What else? Nitty-gritty details for both filmmakers and actors are found in the filmmaker info & faq and the actor info & faq respectively.
